I am a self confessed policy wonk and believe in the power of public policy to make a positive difference to the world in which we live.
I worked in the Victorian Public Service as a senior executive for 20 years and held the roles of Director, Governance; Director, Equality; and Assistant Director, Social Policy in the Department of Premier and Cabinet. I was also the Executive Director of Public Policy and Organisation Reviews at the Victorian Public Service Commission where I led governance and service delivery reviews at the request of the Premier and Ministers.
I am now a Public Policy Fellow at the University of Melbourne where I teach at a post graduate level including including policy design; public administration; and persuasion for policy makers. I also provide custom education programs in public policy and management for the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
I hold a Master of Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and was named an Australian Financial Review Woman of Influence in 2016. I am an associate editor of the Australian Journal of Public Administration.
