Public policy

I am a self confessed policy wonk and believe in the power of public policy to make a positive difference to the world in which we live.

I worked in the Victorian Public Service as a senior executive for 20 years, primarily in the Department of Premier and Cabinet. My roles included Director, Governance and Director, Equality. I also served as Special Adviser to the Secretary.

I am now a Public Policy Fellow at the University of Melbourne where I have been teaching at a post graduate level for seven years. My subjects include public policy analysis, executive leadership and management, and persuasion for policy makers. I also deliver education programs for the Australia and New Zealand School of Government IANZSOG).

I am the editor The Bridge, a research translation series for ANZSOG. The Bridge delivers the latest public sector research to the in-box of public managers and decision makers.
